Pushpam has taken the principles of modern sustainability at heart for more than 10 years. Social responsibility, environmental protection and good governance have always been important vectors to steer our business course. We are a Certified Member of the Responsible Jewellery Council since 2017. This standard measures our achievements in the fields of human rights, labour rights, environmental impact, product integrity, health and safety and many more.

At Pushpam, acting sustainably is integral to everything we do. Diamonds are found in some of the most remote regions on the planet and we are committed to ensuring that their discovery leaves a positive legacy. Diamonds remained undisturbed for millions of years within the Earth's crust, and so it is our task to make sure that the search and discovery of these most precious stones benefit communities in the area and any impact on the environment is reduced if not eliminated. The United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries — developed and developing — in a global partnership. Pushpam recognises that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand in hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth — all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

Every step of a Pushpam diamond’s journey is held to the highest possible ethical and sustainable standards, from the moment the rock is removed from the ground, to when the rough diamond is extracted, then finally cut and polished into brilliant gems. Since inception, Pushpam has been committed to conducting our business responsibly, sustaining the natural environment and positively impacting the communities in which we operate. Achieving carbon neutrality has been a long-standing ambition of ours, and we are leading the way in eliminating our CO2 footprint through a combination of emissions-reduction measures and carbon-offsetting investments.
